BIP is a band founded by three musicians who leave the Slank in 1996, namely Parlin Burman / Pay (guitar), Marcel Bongky Ismail alias Bongky (bass), and Indra Chandra Indra Setiadi alias (keyboard). Their formation is now complemented by Jaka Hidayat (drums) and Irfan Fahri Lazuardy / Ipang (vocals). Bongky, Indra, and Pay BIP agreed to establish four years after separating from Slank, precisely on 20 April 2000 at a reunion show which was held at GOR pencil Saparua, Bandung. Previously, the trained personnel had been formed Slank Sablenk bands (I Used Children Slank).
BIP is the first vocalist Irang Prime Arkad. They also released the album Down from Heaven (2001) rely on the song "Skak Mat" and Min Plus (2002) under PT EMI Music Indonesia. But in early March 2003, Irang decided to resign from the BIP. April 2003, coinciding with the release of the album The Best of BIP that summarizes the 14 songs, BIP announced they no longer wear Irang as a vocalist.
And as a sign of separation, fixed Irang newest vocals Bip, which is "turned out to Choose" and "bored". Instead, they took Ipang, former vocalist of Plastics. Bongky format (bass), Indra (keyboards), Pay (guitar), Jake (drums), and Ipang (vocals), they released the album Fresh Air (2004) under the Forte Record.
