Boomerang is a top rock band from Surabaya, Indonesia. Officially established on May 8, 1994 under the name of Lost Angels, but has already started doing business since 1991.

They consistently perform in a rock track, but nevertheless they did not limit the effect of various flow / style of music. It's all become sort of a trade mark or feature different music from this group.

History

In the early 90's, aka Hubert Henry Limahelu 'HH5H' (bass), John Paul Ivan a.k.a. 'JPI' (guitar), Roy Jeconiah Isoka Wurangian (vocals) and a drummer started a band with the name 'Lost Angels', a word game from the name of the city of Los Angeles and at the same time means `Angel` Lost.

In 1994 they were recruited by the label Record Logiss. And in March - April 1994 under producer in the studio Nirvana Zhelebour Log Record, Surabaya, they worked almost 18 hours each day to record their debut album. While finished with the process of recording their first album cover and wait for the manufacture of tapes, they decide to spend their drummer because his behavior could not be more in line with the ideals of their group's original purpose and too concerned with personal material.

On May 8, 1994 they agreed to change the name to Boomerang Lost Angels who also became the title of their debut album was released in the market on July 1, 1994 with the hit single `Love`. Therefore, in the manufacture of `Love` clips on the first album, they only appeared three of them. To fill vacancies on the drummer's position when they should be doing tours and concerts, they are known to recruit Farid Martin Mas them from Tony, Sound Engineer on the first and second album, Boomerang. On January 1, 1995 Farid Martin officially became a permanent member of the Boomerang.

But in mid-2005, based on the "difference principle", JPI Booomerang choose to exit and decided to work alone. JPI JPI Trio supergroup formed the band along with bassist Bondan Funky Prakoso of Corporal and Cliff as a drummer.

As a substitute for JPI, Boomerang had recruited two young Indonesian guitarist, Oi from Power Metal and original guitarist Tommy Riau. Not satisfied with their performance, one of the recruit Boomerang Indonesia Andry Franzzy reliable guitarist who was a former guitarist Powerslaves in early 2006.
